Two Weeks to Remember Where You Put Your Car

Sunday March 20, 2011

Here is a question for you – what are you thinking of when you arrive at your car park at Birmingham Airport and you are ready to park your car?

It doesn’t take an expert to figure out that you will be thinking of the sunny beach you will be relaxing on in a few hours time. Or maybe you are looking forward to seeing relatives or friends you haven’t seen for a while. Wherever you are flying off to from Birmingham Airport, you can be sure you are looking ahead and not focusing on where you are parking.

Most of us think about the precise car park we need to find, but we don’t think about much else. This could be a problem when we get back from our trip and need to find our car again. Would you be able to remember where you had parked it at Birmingham Airport?

There are a few simple tricks you can use to make sure you don’t fall victim to this understandable loss of memory when you return from your holiday or trip. For starters, once you have parked, make a note of which part of the car park you are in. If you have a mobile phone with a note taking feature, just type in the letter, number or image of your part of the car park.

Next, look for the point where you have to catch the shuttle bus from. You could even take a photo of it on your phone so you know to recognise it once you get back. Finally time roughly how long it takes to get the shuttle bus from your part of the car park to the terminal. It will take virtually the same amount of time to do the journey in reverse, so bear it in mind once you get back.

You don’t have to know the exact spot you parked your car in to be able to find it again. But if you go through the above procedures you will get close enough to find it more easily at Birmingham Airport.
